Will it fit? At 47cm it sits at dining chair height, and at or just below most sofa arms as a side table. The compact 40cm round footprint slips beside a bath, at the end of a bed or into a hallway corner.

Handwoven from natural, undyed rattan in honey, straw and soft grey tones. The gently swelling barrel body is woven in an open lattice, so it feels light rather than solid, while the top is closely woven in a spiral with a bound rim.

Tone varies along every cane and between pieces, and the weave settles slightly with use.

Dust with a soft brush or a vacuum brush attachment on low. Use only a barely damp cloth on marks, dried straight away. Use a coaster or tray for drinks, and a saucer for plants, as liquid will spoil the weave.

For indoor use only. In a bathroom, keep it well away from splashes and the shower. Keep out of strong direct sunlight, which can lighten rattan unevenly.

Pull it up to the coffee table when friends visit, set a small tray on top beside an armchair, or use it to lift a potted plant in a sunny corner. Place it where light passes through the lattice. A pair either side of a sofa looks especially considered.

Can I sit on it?

Yes. At 47cm it is dining chair height, perfect as occasional seating. Add a cushion if it will be sat on often.

Can I put a drink on it?

Yes, on a coaster or small tray. The top is solidly woven, but a woven surface will not shed spills.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

In a well-ventilated bathroom, kept away from splashes and the shower. It is not suitable for outdoor use.
