Where does it work best?

Beside a sofa as a second armchair, in a bedroom corner as a soft reading seat, in a wide hallway or landing as an occasional chair, or in pairs flanking a fireplace. The swivel base makes it particularly useful in open-plan spaces where the chair might need to face different directions at different times — toward a conversation in the day, toward a fire or window in the evening.

How does the swivel work?

A 360-degree swivel mechanism is integrated into the wooden plinth base, so the chair rotates smoothly and quietly through a full circle. It's not a recliner — the seat itself stays at a fixed angle — but the rotation alone makes a real difference to how the chair lives in a room. There's no locking position; the chair returns naturally to wherever you leave it.

Is it comfortable to sit in for a long stretch?

Yes — the seat is deep and generously cushioned with a foam and fibre filling, and the curved hoop frame supports the back at the right point for relaxed sitting rather than upright dining-chair posture. Best suited to reading, conversation and television rather than work or desk-style activities, where a more upright chair would suit.

How do I clean the bouclé?

Vacuum gently with the soft brush attachment to lift dust and surface debris. For spills, blot immediately with a dry white cloth — don't rub, as this can pull the bouclé loops out of shape. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with a tiny amount of mild upholstery cleaner is usually enough; spot-test on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid soaking the fabric or using harsh cleaners.

Will the colour vary between chairs?

Bouclé fabric has natural variation in the weave and slight tonal differences between batches, and the wood frame is a natural material with its own grain pattern and tonal range. Expect close consistency with the photograph but small differences between individual pieces.
