Can the stem be trimmed?
Yes — the bendable stem can be trimmed to length with wire cutters or strong scissors if needed for a shorter vase. Most people leave the stem at full length and simply position the artichoke at the right height by adjusting how deep the stem sits in the vase.

A kitchen island, a kitchen windowsill, a dining table centrepiece, an entrance console alongside other foliage stems, or grouped on a sideboard. The Mediterranean-kitchen-garden character makes it a natural fit for stoneware, blue-and-white china and terracotta — less of a fit for highly polished, contemporary glass-and-chrome settings.
How do I clean it?
Dust gently with a soft brush — a clean, dry make-up brush works well for getting between the bracts. Avoid wet cleaners or soaking, which can damage the surface finish. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the colour over time.
