Autumn Harvest 80cm Dried Foliage Wreath

Will it fit? Most front doors are 76cm to 84cm wide, so it fills the door almost entirely and covers most of the door furniture. Check the door still closes cleanly with it in place. As a table centrepiece, allow 80cm of table.

Hanging. At 3.22kg it needs a proper over-door hanger or fixed hook rated for the weight. A standard adhesive hook is not enough.

Real dried materials: natural pinecones, grasses, seed pods and autumnal foliage, handcrafted rather than moulded, with an irregularity artificial foliage cannot match.

Earthy palette of golden wheat, deep brown and soft neutrals rather than bright orange, so it works well beyond autumn.

Each wreath is made by hand, so the arrangement varies and yours will not match the photograph exactly.

Keep it sheltered. Dried materials are not weatherproof. A porch or recessed doorway is ideal; a fully exposed door is not.

Dust gently with a soft brush or hairdryer on cool, and never wet it. Keep it out of strong sun. Between seasons, store it flat in a box with tissue over it. A little shedding is normal, especially when first unwrapped.

Hang the centre about a third of the way down the door, ideally a plain painted one. Echo the golden and brown tones inside with dried stems in a stoneware vessel on a hallway console.

Above a fireplace, centre it on the chimney breast with candles below. As a centrepiece, keep anything inside the ring low, and set it on a tray to catch any shedding.
