Pinecone Textured Bowl

Wide and low. Generous enough to hold a coffee table on its own, and shallow enough to see across on a dining table. Allow a little space around it.

Dense glazed porcelain, with overlapping scales moulded around the outer wall and over the rim. The glaze pools dark between the scales and bright over each one.

Smooth, mottled amber interior, darker at the base and brighter at the rim. The glaze varies slightly from piece to piece.

Not food safe, and not dishwasher or microwave safe. This is a decorative bowl.

Wipe the interior with a soft damp cloth and dry straight away. Use a soft dry brush to lift dust from between the scales, and nothing abrasive on the glaze. Lift it from underneath with both hands, and use a mat on polished surfaces.

Use it as the low, wide element on a coffee table or console, empty or with a single layer of pinecones, seed heads or faux stems laid flat.

Set it on a pale surface, with a tall vase alongside and candlelight to bring out the texture.
